Can I change my tenancy from sole to joint?

What type of tenancy do you hold?

IMR,PRS or LLR tenancy

If you currently hold one of these tenancies, you will need to wait until the renewal of you tenancy to request a change to sole or joint tenancy. You will also need to pass all eligibility criteria before a decision can be made.

To find out more, please contact us on 0208 853 6537.

Assured Shorthold tenancy

If your tenancy is an Assured Shorthold tenancy with a fixed-term of six years or less, we'll normally refuse as this will be assessed at the fixed-term tenancy review.

To find out more, please contact our customer service centre.

None of the above

If you have a sole tenancy, you will not be able to convert this to a joint tenancy, whether staying in the same property or moving to another L&Q property.

Any existing or new partners will be added as an occupant.
