What areas do you grit when there's icy weather?

When there's icy weather, we'll grit all L&Q Living sheltered schemes and any areas directly outside the entrance doors to blocks of flats.

Before we grit other areas, we'll usually consider:

• how often it's used
• how many people use it
• who uses it

If you have your own personal driveway, footpath or entrance, you're responsible for gritting these areas. We'd only grit them on your behalf under exceptional circumstances.

If your estate or scheme does not have a current caretaker, we'll see if one of our groundwork contractors can help to grit the communal areas. Please be aware that this service is not guaranteed as icy weather conditions may limit staff availability and accessibility.
