How do I notify L&Q about the death of a homeowner?

In all cases, we'll require a copy of the Death Certificate and a certified Grant of Probate or Will.

For 100% leaseholders or owner occupiers: before we're able to amend our records, we will require both of these documents. Please send them with details of the owner and address to our Lease Enquiries team by email at leaseenquiries@lqgroup.org.uk.

You'll also need to advise the Land Registry in order for them to update the property register.

For shared owners, if you wish to sell the property, please get in touch with our Resales team by email at resales@lqgroup.org.uk.

In order to discuss a standard change in ownership, please contact our Transfer of Ownership team by email at staircasing@lqgroup.org.uk.
