I’m a social tenant, can I buy my L&Q home?

In June 2022, the Government announced an intention to introduce Right to Buy for housing association tenants. If introduced, this policy would enable an L&Q tenant in socially rented housing to buy the home they live in.

Under our current policies, social tenants aren’t eligible to buy their homes. The Government’s proposal is in early stages, and the details are yet to be agreed. Therefore we don’t expect this situation to change for at least several years.

We don’t currently have a means of registering an interest in this scheme, or details of the eligibility requirements. We will share more information as soon as it becomes available.
